Angela's earliest life is unknown, though it is possibly implied to be similar to Ratchet's as she was possibly from Fastoon and sent to Grelbin in the Bogon Galaxy during Tachyon's attack.
Angela was an employee for MegaCorp who worked in the genetics division. Her role there was to fix the Protopet's flaws, though before she could succeed, the chief executive office of MegaCorp, Abercrombie Fizzwidget (who at the time was Qwark in disguise) pushed the release date of the Protopet forward, to which Angela protested that it could not be distributed to no avail. She therefore left the team, and hid her identity with a mask, a voice-distorting device and a hooded cape, to become an unknown thief, and stole the Protopet to take it back to her Flying Lab on planet Aranos, though she did not destroy it.
When Ratchet was hired as a commando by MegaCorp to infiltrate Angela's lab and retrieve the Protopet, she took it away from him before he acquired it and went on the run to find a way to destroy it. She paid Thugs-4-Less for protection and to defeat Ratchet. At first, Angela passed by Oozla to purchase a map, and robbed it instead from the store with the Thugs. She afterwards visited Clank's apartment in Megapolis on Endako and kidnapped him, taking him hostage, and requiring Ratchet to free him and unite with him on his commando assignment. Angela passed by Notak to acquire more chemicals, before then returning to her Frozen Base on planet Siberius. Ratchet and Clank tracked her to Siberius, after tracing back a transmission she sent to Notak requiring a double delivery of five containers of sulfuric acid, four containers of liquid hydrogen and six crates of nitroglycerin, and defeated her there, retrieving the Protopet and delivering it to Fizzwidget on planet Tabora.
Angela tracked them to Tabora, attempting to rob it from them after they had already handed it to Fizzwidget. She tried to intimidate them, but ended up falling on her front and losing the mask, then warning them they had put the galaxy in "imminent danger" and urged them to visit the MegaCorp Testing Facility on Dobbo to correct this. From this point on, she kept in contact with the two and they worked together to stop the Protopet. Angela later lost her contract bid with Thugs-4-Less to MegaCorp after Qwark makes them a better offer, and they take over her Flying Lab. When she infiltrated the fleet to learn more about MegaCorp's plans, they found and kidnapped her, taking her to their headquarters on Snivelak. Ratchet and Clank traced them there, defeated their leader and freed her.
Following this, Angela invited Ratchet and Clank to visit her old home of Grelbin, where they were able to work on a plan to infiltrate MegaCorp Headquarters on planet Yeedil to defeat the Protopet at it's source. After they reached the Protopet duplication facility, before they could stop it, they were warned that Captain Qwark was merely using the Protopet to fix his tarnished reputation. Qwark then revealed himself and dropped the Fizzwidget disguise, and attempted to film the events live across the galaxy in which he would frame Angela, Ratchet and Clank for the Protopet. He stole the Helix-O-Morph, a device Angela had invented but not finished to fix the Protopet, and used it on the Protopet, but instead accidentally amplified its power.
Angela found the real Fizzwidget locked away while Ratchet and Clank defeated the powered Protopet, and Clank spotted the error with the Helix-O-Morph (the battery was inserted backwards), allowing Angela to then amplify its signal through MegaCorp's TV transponders, curing all Protopets across the galaxy to make them harmless. In the conclusion, Angela was seen hanging out with Ratchet and Clank in their apartment on Megapolis, where she had that Qwark was now working at MegaCorp as punishment for his actions.
During the ending of Up Your Arsenal, Angela went to the premiere of the latest Secret Agent Clank holo-film in her unknown thief disguise.
Emperor Tachyon hunted for Angela Cross around the time he came into power. However, she fled with the help of Max Apogee, and was last seen fleeing the Cerullean Sector in the Polaris Galaxy in Max Apogee's starship. The starship was later recovered by galactic authorities, who discovered Jasindu was its point of origin, and it had been sent from there via autopilot. Max Apogee left the Dimensionator in Kerchu City on Jasindu under the Kerchu's protection. The two were either given refuge by the Kerchu, or escaped using the Dimensionator.
Angela was mentioned in Ratchet & Clank: Issue 5: Multiple Organisms.
Role in the series
After fleeing the Bogon Galaxy, Angela discovered her race's history after seeking more information on Tachyon's grudge against Lombaxes, and spent many years hiding on Jasindu looking for more answers. Though when her hideout was exposed, she became a mercenary/bounty hunter in service of a multi-galaxy group known as The Kill-Claimers, and one of the unwilling partners of Deadpool, an on-trail pending recent member.
