Whimsy Mane, AKA Doctor Hair-Mane-Doo, is an Equestrian Unicorn who formerly worked for the now-defunct Genesis Corporation, and since her days as a barber in her family's business, she wished to create hairstyles for ponies worldwide. However, she was constantly told that manes simply could not be made as anything has to come from a source, as things like money and something desired cannot be made because it would be counterfeit and/or unauthentic, and manes cannot be made from thin air. However, Whimsy refused to believe this as it was 'the stupidest thing she ever heard', and she ended up getting herself fired for continuing this to where property damage was wreaked. Even if her parents told her that hair couldn't be made, it could be grown with the right spell, but it drained magical energy quickly. Whimsy snapped that it was the point: to make something that doesn't require that much, but was constantly told that it was impossible, and as usual, she refused to accept that as an answer, and thus went mad to try and make it possible, to where she was shunned by ponies everywhere, and ran an isolated business. She later ends up coming across Trixie, whose mane was ruined, and she accidentally creates a tonic that causes the mane to not only grow back without any effort, but it also turned it sentient and similar in style to Mane-iac. Whimsy is by not means beyond tainted as an Equiestian Pony, but her determination to prove a fact false has drove her to forget herself and be a reckless and ballsy risk taker and one who is quick to get out of dodge when it ineditably backfires to avoid punishment.
