It's Groundhog Day, and the sea squirrels are in peace once again in both their new home in Yonder and the AUU, gaining their own Groundhog Day on the day of the Hydrocabiais Extinction Event as the story is told to the people of the Hydrocabiais Haven the story of how their first Hydrocabiais Day went by Xandy and Clifton. One year since the Extinction Event, they celebrate the sea squirrels being restored of their legacy since all that they did wrong was either Xandronian or mind-control. However, not all sea squirrels are of high hopes. One simple individual was wronged by the events that he became an antihero mercenary named Chevy. He doesn't particularly get along with strangers, even if it's of his own kind, as he has been one of the only sea squirrels to stay behind when the extinction event occurred, and thus he had been traumatized enough to not trust anyone but himself, committing criminal deeds just to get paid, all while having the most vicious moral code of all time. Xandy couldn't help but wish to turn him around, yet has done nothing but fail the entire day. But her plan may be compromised when Chevy might have been tricked by an anti-sea squirrel fanatic named Verzuvius, who has been wishing to wipe them all out using a bomb similar to Xandronian's Sea-Squirrel Bomb, but it will use illegal nitrolysigen, the most volatile substance in the AUU, to detonate and wipe out all sea squirrels in the AUU, all while tricking Chevy into stealing the parts for him, hoping that this will make the sea squirrels look gullible, and thus play well in his favor, as he blames them for the VA-based tragedy reaped upon him. With this new plan coming to fruition, Xandy and Clifton must convince the inconvincible Chevy to help stop this, get his life together, and stop Verzuvius from getting away with this.
