Ms Doombringer

Mrs. Doombringer

Ms. Doombringer, AKA Mary Alice Sunshine, was a substitute teacher and a minor villainess in the cartoon series The Fairly Oddparents episode No Substitute For Crazy.

Ms. Doombringer acted as a substitute teacher in many schools, posing as "Ms. Sunshine", a very nice teacher who rewarded her students for even the most trivial tasks. Her true plan was fooling any children with fairy godparents to wish that she was their permanent teacher. Once she would become the permanent teacher, she'd scan her students for any signs of fairies, and once she has captured the fairy, she pulls off its wings and crown and mounts it in her personal collection. Unlike Mr. Crocker, she is far more competent at hunting fairies, making her even more dangerous to Timmy Turner than his usual nemesis. She even wrote her own book on how to hunt fairies.

Biography[]

Ms Sunshine

Ms. Sunshine (Secret/Normal Guise)

After Crocker broke his bones when he fell into a well that was just dug up, Doombringer (as Miss Sunshine) became his substitute. Timmy later wished Sunshine became his permeanant teacher. The wish came true and Doombringer revealed her true colors. She tries capture by appealing to kids as a good teacher. Miss Doombringer found Timmy had fairies and tried to catch him. But, Crocker helped Timmy and Doombringer got ran over by a bus, vowing to return.

Role in the Series[]

Making good on her vow to return by the episode Return Of The Fairy Huntress, she discovers that the teacher she was replacing, Denzel Crocker, had also known about fairies, not caring how, and sought to use that to her advantage, managing to find Timmy Turner's hero location, kidnap Poof, and demand the location of Fairy World. However, it's revealed that her mother used to have fairy godparents since she was 23, acting like a child even at the adult age to keep them, but when she went insane with a quest for co-existence among humans and fairies thanks to the manipulation of a Will-o'-the-wisp named Willbreak, they took her fairy godparents and wiped her memory of them. After rediscovering their existence by accident, she trained her daughter, Mary Alice Sunshine, to be a fairy hunter when, at this young age, she was a fairy enthusiast who didn't mean them any harm, but Willbreak manipulates the entire family into causing fairy contact to break them apart, her mother feeling remorseful and Willbreak to possess Mary Alice as another stepping stone to accomplish a plan of absolute co-existence, a goal of which Will-o'-the-wisps are known for in the FOP world. Thus, while Mary would become the fairy hunter she is now thanks to Willbreak's influence, her mother would grow elderly, remorseful and regretful of the harm she caused and would likely cause on the fairies through her daughter. Under Willbreak's influence, she is determined to make this occur, under the secret mindset of a sport of hunting fairies and adding their wings to her collection. She's also revealed to wear the skull shirt because she's a fan of the Marvel antihero Punisher.
