Tom Lucitor attends a school reunion with his girlfriend Janna, Star and Marco, alongside their new friends like Anne’s group, in a land that he is surprised has been giving a major change: The Demon Realm of The Owl House, where he was once an exchange student in the long-deceased Satan Coven at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. There he comes across a new arrival and someone Star has been waiting to meet for a long time: the 0-Brave human girl Luz Noceda, who has been staying with the rebellious cursed witch Eda Clawthorne and a small dog-like Titan named King, as well as Luz’s girlfriend Amity Blight, her friends Gus Porter and Willow Park, Eda’s girlfriend Raine Whispers, King’s family Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn, other 0-Braves inspired by Luz like a mantis-snake demon named Lovia and Luz’s surrogate shapeshifting basilisk sister Vee, Luz’s mother Camila, and so much more. But Tom also has the displeasure to meet a demon bully of his named Setan De Vigne who almost got him expelled once, and has a demonically-obsessive crush on Luz. But little does anybody know that Setan has been corrupted by Azathoth, the former King of Mischievers and his great great grandson Cthulhu, who had survived their previous defeats to Luz and vow to reclaim the land they lost so long ago, slowly turning Setan into a raging unstoppable demon orc dragon. With the High Council sensing the chaos, the Lodgers go into action, finding the Demon Realm infested with tentacled beasts, and even accidentally come across Trista's crew again, who was helping her friend Rothrock Lovecraft, the sub-human grandson of H.P. Lovecraft himself, AKA the retired 0-Brave Randolph Carter, remove his hated tentacle curse during his visit to the school reunion. The heroes are inevitably stuck in the Owl House because of the spreading plague of Mischiever power and must find a way to stop Azathoth for good.
