Ratchet and Clank have officially been in their most intense adventure yet: When Clank gives Ratchet a gun-designed Dimensionator as a gift to find the Lombaxes, even though he was the one who said it was too dangerous to use, Nefarious uses it to wreak havoc on the multiverse looking for a dimension where he always wins. This throws Ratchet and Clank apart and into the dimension of a much more powerful and successful counterpart of Nefarious called Emperor Nefarious, which is opposed by a resistance with a female Lombax named Rivet. In the end, Emperor Nefarious was defeated after nearly overusing the Dimensionator and even kicked away by the original Nefarious for outshining him. Now Rivet and her new sidekick Kit are intent on taking a pit stop to the Lombax Dimension. But Emperor Nefarious is not done yet. He has barely escaped the clutches of 'Bubbles' and has effectively taken over Team Nefarious, intent on finishing what he started. Now Team Nefarious is far more dangerous than they ever were before, and are starting to cripple the Anti-Team Nefarious Freedom Fighters, and rebuild the Dimensionator. This has started to threaten his own home dimension by getting Xzar attention, so the Lodgers, Ratchet and the other ATNFF have to find a way to stop Emperor Nefarious alongside Dr. Nefarious to his utter chagrin before his actions threaten all of their dimensions.
