Songbird Serenade

Songbird Serenade is an Equestrian Pegasus who appears in the 2017 My Little Pony Movie. She is 'the hottest pop star in Equestria' who is brought onto lend her vocal talents at the Friendship Festival in the beginning of the movie. She is voiced by famous singer Sia Furler, being a ponified version of her, and will sing two songs in the movie.

Songbird Serenade arrives in Canterlot to meet Princess Twilight Sparkle and do a sound check. Unfortunately, her attempt to do so is cut short by the invasion of Tempest Shadow.

Near the downfall of the movie, it is revealed she was caged by the Storm King's minions, and is sadly singing Rainbow in her trap.

In the finale of the movie, she performs "Rainbow" in its entirety to celebrate the Mane Six and their new friends saving the day.

Personality[]

Songbird Serenade is the biggest performer in all of Equestria. She uses her angelic voice and incredible performing skills to celebrate the magic of friendship. What really makes Songbird so beloved in Equestria is her deep belief in the values about which she sings. She donates her time and effort to any cause, and is always willing to give back to her adoring fans that make her a star. She's beyond excited to debut a big new song at the biggest festival in the history of Equestria.

Role in the series[]

Since she was rescued during the conquering of The Storm King, Songbird had offered to become like Gazelle, deciding to inspire friendship for the Guardians of Harmony in order to heal the world outside Equestria from the damage done by Storm King's evil family (fitting since her voice actor co-wrote the song "Try Everything"), the Storm Clan, after it is revealed that, following the Chaos Wars and ponies focusing on one location of Equestria and allowing other beings to inhabit the rest, it left them powerless in the ponies' ways of peace and defense, allowing them to take advantage and conquer most of it and inspire chaos and terror.
