The Mikersons are a family of militaristic sifaka lemurs that are Swanluna's personal legion and enforcers. They are very silly, rude, and smart-alecky primates which come from a lemur island on the same planet as Top Dollar City called Mikerson's Island. The family consists of up to a thousand ancestors and descendants which give Swanluna enough personnel to enforce her strict and cruel ways. They are similar to the Wickershams of the CGI Horton Hears a Who, behaving in the same creative way.
History[]
The Mikersons were born on the planet of Accord on an island not too far from where Top Dollar City is found called Mikerson's Island. They started out as pre-sentient beings that had a Neanderthal instinct, and moved just like a sifaka and Australopithecus, leaping to move, capable of standing, and were still arboreal and were actually afraid of the ground because of the many predators that acted hostile against them. They were an agile tribal people that were more or less peaceful in their own way. They discovered much in a few centuries in their lives and grew in intelligence fairly quickly.
In later centuries, they moved from an average tribe to a hostile hunting tribe. They developed advanced architecture on par with Ewoks in their Silver Age. They learned adequate strategies from hunting for their food, whether it be animals or fruit. They even developed their own culture focused around a sense of humor and that differences are worth a chuckle. But sometimes, inter-tribal warfare came with it as they fought each other at first as a sport. However, it later went to violent warfare. Though this inter-tribal warfare built up their confidence and society slowly, allowing them to develop further.
Eventually, through the early settlers and builders of Top Dollar City, they discovered more, and developed even further. They built their treetop houses into a more city-like state. They even discovered how to manipulate fire even further, discovered alcohol, discovered gun powder, crossbows that were further easier to wield than their common bows and arrows, they discovered language, more advanced tools, medicine, and developed their earlier habits even further, including their culture. When they finally made contact with the 'People Of The Mainland', they developed electricity, television, and internet. Thus with mainland influence, the Mikersons suddenly became a viable semi-modern society that people have started to view through ground-based parks.
Thrugh viewing their visitors on the ground, they learned how to walk through bipedal locomotion. They even discovered modern-day guns, and the Mikersons suddenly split off and became whatever they wanted, whether they stay on the island, or decide to go to the mainland. Though this had mixed results as the Mikersons started causing mischief on Top Dollar City, and while the backlash of the people of the city reached Mikerson's Island, the people started getting a tiny bit hostile to them, easily turning them into the mocking crude-humored militaristic people they are now, turning their society into a police-state that overwatches the parks for naysayers seeking to hurt them.
Eventually, their classy operations earned the attention of Swanluna, who was interested in their philosophies as a friend of hers in childhood was a Mikerson who told her to go to them if she should feel empty and need help. Thus, she asked for their servitude in exchange for many things. As time passed, she benefited their society and used her former-ambassador position to repair the Mikersons' relationship with the Mainlanders. Since then, the Mikersons have become eternally grateful and vow to do her any favor as a great benefactor. But when she seeks to do something big, they'll be with her every step of the way.
Society[]
Being lemurs, the Mikersons are naturally agile and have a semi-arboreal lifestyle in city-like treetops, and despite moving in the same way a common sifaka moves on the ground, by hops, they learned how to walk in later years as they moved from a tribal society to efficient civilized hunting race that evolved into military class-operation status. Every citizen on their island has a very 'hilarious' tradition of telling jokes when in action, whether it be hunting or protecting their home, as every citizen is required to know self-defense and protective skills as they have a stick-together policy.
Despite this unique lifestyle, it can be viewed by outsiders as often unfunny because of their knack of being as annoying and mischievous as a common monkey or baboon. Their knack of hilarity means that they don't judge each other by how weird they are because they find it funny. Even being drunk is something to laugh at as long as the intoxicated individual controls himself, and they have luckily developed an art of controlling their drunk behavior through mental martial arts that evolved from ancient ceremonies within their tribal past.
The Mikersons even love to sing random songs because of their curiosity of the outside world, but some have a lack of taste in many specific songs. They even have a right to bare arms and thus they can use any weapon they can get their hands on. Yet they discovered weaponry through their tribal idiocy when weaponry got much of them killed. Despite their occasional idiocy, they are geniuses when it comes to fighting and servitude. They can dodge point-blank gunfire and explosives, and they are nearly-unstoppable when working together as they have adapted to every strategy in the UUniverses as they work together like ants. Their coordination is legendary, especially when they're doing particularly nasty things.
They commonly have access to electricity through hydroelectric watermill power plants. Though it has been very rare that a Mikerson has been capable of swimming, but because they're lemurs, they can be virtually afraid of water. They have access to Internet, TV, and several other common forms of technology. Though this had left the impressionable kids with random comical personalities that eventually lead to the entire Mikerson population's personalities to be mixed in comical ranges.
